Something Unique About Me:

Speech and Language is a second career for me. I have been a hair dresser and an art/crafts teacher. I have many indoor and outdoor hobbies.. Hopefully, I bring and use everything that I am to my students.

Brief Description of My Students:

I work in a city wide district that services all classifications of IDEA. The majority of students that I see daily are classified with emotional disturbance, mental retardation autism and learning disabilities. They all function below grade level academically and socially.

Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:

My students are all inner city children who come complete with the social ills and the cultural joys that encompass a large metropolitan area. The topography and architecture change every few miles. There are hi-rise buildings along with single family homes,too much automobile traffic and crowded public transportation, the Atlantic Ocean, The East and Hudson rivers, and several city and state parks.
