Something Unique About Me:
We are a non-profit international cultural exchange organization that sets up class-to-class exchanges between American schools and their counterparts in many countries.

We believe that when young people from different parts of the world are given the opportunity to interact in a creative way, exciting and important learning takes place. Participants gain a keener awareness, understanding, and appreciation of other cultures, as well as their own.

Happy New Year to our art friends in Egypt! Our 6th grade class in Los Angeles, CA is looking forward to receiving your art work. We will be presenting a program about it to our whole school. Then we hope to link up with you via the internet. We are going to make some art about ancient Egypt since we are learning about your country right now in social studies.

From your friends at Berkeley Hall School.

Hola Miguel - y feliz verano! I have packed away my materials from Artlink and I would like to send a package to Mayrena in Guatemala. The students created a scrapbook of photos of life at our school, and we picked up a few things for them. I am hoping to go to the post office to send it off soon! Judy

Hi - I have already seen and dismissed my students, and I asked them to come up with a comment in Spanish to share with the students. I will have my other classes come up with questions that we can use. We are reviewing their art today. I am wondering if I should reserve another room, so that we will have outside telephone access for tomorrow. I will try tomake that happen, and let you know - jtp

Hola Miguel - Is my cell phone acceptable? I'm not sure if it can make international calls. Otherwise I only have an intercom phone in the classroom.

Prof. Francisco

ESPAÑOL ABAJO

Expressions:

“Celebrating our Traditions and Values”

An expression is an illustration, representation, or articulation of an idea.

This year we are asking our participating young artists to create a piece of art that illustrates, represents, or articulates a tradition that is practiced in their homes, schools, places of worship, or communities.
