- I enjoy all aspects of the arts and culture. My favorite leisure activity is dancing to many types of music. I have a strong interest in culinary arts, too, as I love good food and one of my sons is studying to be a chef. Photography is my hobby, and I have been a featured artist in an international competition and in a local gallery.

- Brief Description of My Students:
- The students, who participated in the art exchange with Sri Lanka, are from my Art Survey class, which is a mix of 7th and 8th grade students. They are studying in one of our magnet school focus areas, other than art, but wanted to explore visual art as well. So some students concentrate on vocal music or band, while others are in the drama or international studies program.
- Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:
- Omaha is the largest metropolitan city in Nebraska, which has a population close to 1 million people. Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the best zoos in the world, and the College World Series baseball games, at Rosenblatt Stadium, draw in many tourists. Our city keeps growing and expanding urban development, to offer more for the arts, entertainment, athletics, and family attractions.
