- I would like to create open communications with students in different countries to further their understanding of the world. Something unique would be that I was a performer on a USO tour when I was in college. I love the arts and believe they are a bridge to bringing people together.

- Brief Description of My Students:
- I'm from an urban, high poverty school. Students are very bright but have not had a lot of quality experiences. It is a charter school which allows it to self govern without all the controls from the state.
- Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:
- Kansas City shares two states - Kansas and Missouri. Our school is on the Missouri side. Kansas City is known for it's jazz, barbecue, and the KC Royal and Chiefs sports teams. With 2.1 million people it is the 29th largest metropolitan are in the US. Walt Disney opened his first studio here and we are the home of Hallmark Cards and Russel Stovers Chocolates. Kansas City is rich in arts. There are a number of professional theaters, a civic orchestra, several ballet companies, and some wonderful art museums. The new Kauffman Performing Arts Center would rival any center world-wide.
