Something Unique About Me:

I have always loved creating art as a child. I also learned how to play golf at a really young age because my dad was a golf professional. I have am busy teaching art and raising my 3 beautiful children (ages 3-14) with my husband, but I love creating jewelry by fusing glass in a kiln when I have some free time.

Brief Description of My Students:

There are 21 students in this 4th grade class. They are a very creative class and about three students participated in the Rainforest ArtLink Art Exchange program last year. This class is very diverse with students that have ethnic backgrounds from different parts of the world, such as Bosnia, Philipinnes, Mexico, and India.

Description of the Town or City My Students Come From:

Jacksonville is in the Northeast part of the state of Florida in the U.S. There is a mild winter when it gets cold enough to wear sweaters on some days. During the winter months it may be cold one day and really warm the next. Jacksonville is located on the coast on the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida. The summers are very hot and humid so going to the beach is a fun summer activity to cool off. Jacksonville has about 1 million people living here. Most of the people do not live in the downtown area. They live in the suburban neighborhood communities that spread out all over the city limits.
