I am Japanese-American and was born in Pasadena, California. I moved to New York after graduating college and lived there for 15 years before moving to Norwalk, CT. Prior to teaching art, I was an art director in advertising for more than 20 years. I am now attending graduate school at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.

Darien is an affluent suburb, about 50 miles north of New York City. It is close to Long Island Sound and has beautiful houses on large properties nestled in woodland areas.
